We want to invite all of you to join us in going to the temple this week. The Relief Society will be going to the temple Tuesday the 14th. We will be meeting at Melanie Fairchild's house at 7 pm. Our plan is to have a couple of cars (or more hopefully!) so sisters could choose whether they would like to do an Endowment session or Initiatories that night. If this is a night that would work for your schedule we would love to have you along!
President Monson posed the question, “Do we have the moral courage to stand firm for our beliefs, even if by so doing we must stand alone?” This day and age it seems to be harder to stand for our beliefs and to not stay focused on what is really important in life. We get so bogged down with the media that we sometimes forget to stand up to our full potential. Sometimes we might be standing with others and sometimes we might stand alone.
If any of you has stumbled in your journey, there is hope and a way back through Repentance. We have been promised "though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. And I will remember them no more." What a blessing we have been given with that statement.
President Monson also states in order for us to be strong and to withstand all the forces pulling us in the wrong direction or all the voices encouraging us to take the wrong path, we must have our own testimony. We need to know for ourselves The Book of Mormon is true, that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. He will manifest the truth to us by the power of the Holy Ghost. We also need to share our testimonies and be ready to answer every question that might come our way.
"Dare to be Mormon; Dare to stand alone. Dare to have a purpose firm; Dare to make it known."
We know that if we stand alone, we really are never alone our Heavenly Father will always be by our side.
